History and Prologue of the trust

Dumani Foundation Trust was started by a group of young men with a vision to do some social good for the poor and downtrodden. Dumani Foundation Trust is a non-profit, non-government development organization committed to improving the lives of people less fortunate in Odisha, India, through participation and empowerment After working for a couple of years it was felt that the Trust should get a legal status to make the effort more effective. Dumani Foundation Trust’ was brought into existence on 5th day of January 2016, by means of deed of trust, Document No 41081600085, Application No. 1081600114, Volume No: 2,Book No.4, dated 05.01.2016  in the office of the Sub-Registrar, Bhubaneswar Thus the organization was registered as a Charitable Trust in the year 2015-16 under the Indian Trust Act. 1882. Since then Dumani Foundation Trust is working hard to achieve the objectives of the organization i.e. to work for the poorest of the poor and the weaker section of the society. From its humble beginnings, Dumani Foundation Trust has grown into a vibrant organisation working with a range of people across multiple sectors. Dumani Foundation Trust implements programmes in various sectors, catering to the needs of vulnerable communities. The Trust believes that there is no simple solution to reduce/eradicate poverty. As such, in order to overcome poverty, it is necessary to address the range of issues that poor people face on a daily basis. Tackling issues in an integrated, sustainable manner, Dumani Foundation Trust aimed at improving quality of life of most vulnerable people of the communities.

Mission Statement

Dumani Foundation Trust is working and assist the needy and neglected people at grass root level and find access to sustain in the society with due dignity. Therefore DFT will take all necessary initiatives /measurer towards empowerment and self-determinations of community people enabling them to solve their own socio-economic problems by themselves towards poverty elevation.

Goal:

To help and develop the distressed, needy, neglected and vulnerable people in Odisha socially and economically by providing them necessary assistance for sustaining their lives and conditions specially the women and children as well.

STRATEGY :

Without long-term strategy the best of action plans go why-wire. So to reach the objectives of the organization we have devised a comprehensive strategy to be implemented in the project area. The organization has deliberately chosen a small project area in which it works directly with the people. This was done to use optimally the scare resources at its disposal. Our strategy for development is integrated development in a small area. Besides it has envisaged working in collaboration with local organizations on a project-to –project basis.

PROFESSIONALS :

The organization employs best of professionals to look after its various projects,. Within its limited sources it has employed six full- time and four part-time professionals to look after various project activities. Besides, more than twenty volunteers and social workers are also working at various levels to overseas the activities of the organization at the grass-roots level.

Operational Areas of The Trust:

Dumani Foundation Trust not only a grass root level organization but also its wing spread over the state. This Organization Working over 8 Blocks in fiveRevenue Districts namely Keonjhar,sundergarh,Angul, Ganjam  & Khordha District. The Organization also planned to work all  the district of Odisha in next years as soon as possible.
